The Tech Group, Inc., of Scottsdale Arizona, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Medtronic Cardiac Surgery's injection molding facility, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The sale was complete in early December and includes a long-term supply agreement.

According to Jim Dolan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for The Tech Group, the Grand Rapids facility has developed an expertise in short to medium runs and low-cavitation. The facility is 29,000 square feet and includes twenty-six injection molding machines ranging from 28 - 110T, with plenty of space to support additional expansion.

The Tech Group retained all existing employees at the close of this sale. Ted Chittenden and Mark Williams will remain in their management responsibilities, and both will now report to Mike Treadaway, Vice President of Operations, Tech Group Americas.
